The Global Grand Prix Swing Dance Championships was conceived by Igor Pitangui. The objective is to make a West Coast Swing event that can be a unique artistic experience for all participants, competitors, spectators and staff.

Igor has over 15 years of experience in show business working on performance events such as Operas, Musical Theater and TV shows.

That's why he decided to translate that into the West Coast Swing community and provide a magical experience within an event.
After conceiving the event, he shared the idea to Antoine Piedfert and Marlène Ouazana so that they would join the coordination team. Little by little the pillar team was formed and today we are nine, thinking together about a multicultural event, open to creativity and carefully planned for everyone feel welcome.
